**Company Overview**

IIT Kanpur Development Foundation (IITK DF) is a Section 8, not-for-profit, company established by IIT Kanpur to engage with external stakeholders like Alumni, Corporates, Foundations, and Philanthropists in India and across the globe, and to raise funds to meet its long-term growth aspirations. Such offices are called ‘development offices’ in universities of global repute and usually have a staffing of 1 for every 1,000 alumni.

**Position**: Officer - IT Infrastructure & Automation

**Location**:IIT Kanpur Development Foundation (IITKDF), Kanpur

**Reporting to**:Manager - IT Infrastructure & Automation

**Responsibilities and Expectations**

**1. Support**: Respond to IT issues; hardware maintenance, software, networking, etc.

**2. Troubleshooting**: Evaluate, respond, and manage system and/or hardware, installed

**3. Maintenance**:Ensure systems are backed up and that the backup systems are

operating effectively. Hands-on experience with online meeting platforms, backup

**4. Reporting**:Generate reports on IT inventory and system performance.

**5. Training**:Train staff on software and hardware, troubleshoot, and provide

technical assistance.

**6. Good to have knowledge**:Documentation preparation like, Business Requirements

Document (BRD), Software Requirement Specification (SRS) Product documentation/

manuals. Knowledge of website management will be added advantage in role.

Desired Profile

**Education**:Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related

field.

**Experience**:Minimum of 2 years’ experience in desktop support or in a related role.

**Knowledge**: Knowledge of systems architecture, database management systems, and

network and systems management systems.

**Soft Skills**:Strong problem-solving skills; ability to work well in teams; good

interpersonal and communication skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,791.63 - ₹60,022.01 per month
