The ability to work during Vancouver, Canada time (PST) is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

- Handle general tenders and litigation matters within the construction law.
- Pursue and defend all types of construction claims and defenses, such as breach of contract, construction lien claims, delay claims, breach of trust claims, performance, labor, and material payment claims, and settling disputes through negotiations.
- Draft Construction Contracts and handle construction delay claims and extra work claims
- Resolve construction disputes for both sub-contractors and owners through settlement negotiations
- Quantum Meruit Claims and claims for compensation, delay, extras, and loss of productivity
- Handle Notices to Commence an Action and recover money owed pursuant to a lien
- Experience working directly in the construction industry and understanding construction, able to understand the details of construction projects better than a lawyer who is not an engineer
- Expertise in construction dispute resolution, builders liens, contract negotiation and administration, CCDC contracts, arbitration, construction litigation, construction mediation, and construction dispute resolution.
- Experience in Recovering Outstanding Payments for Sub-Contractors
Familiarity with the CCDC set of contracts and the ability to use and modify them.

**Requirements**:

- 5+ years of experience practicing construction law
- Strong understanding of construction contracts and experience negotiating and drafting them
- Experience handling construction disputes and litigation
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Must be able to work during Vancouver, Canada time (PST)
- Stable internet connection
