**Position Summary**:
The Performance Testing Coordinator will work in the Global Engineering Team reporting directly to Engineering AP team leader within Innovation and Technology, Deep Expertise. This group delivers innovation solutions in Sustainable Transportation across multiple segments (motorcycle, passenger cars, heavy duty, stationary and marine engines) to better meet our customers’ needs and makes an increasing impact on the decarbonisation of transportation and energy in line with our purpose to create a sustainable future in innovative chemistry.

A critical part of this development process is to demonstrate the performance of these lubricant technologies in the real world in field tests that are designed to have severe operating conditions in a representative environment. Field trial procedures are designed such that the generated data forms part of the product value propositions, for the purpose of marketing to customers or for gaining approval at Original Engine Manufacturers (OEM).

**Key Outputs: What we can expect from you**
- Collaborate with a talented team of Engineers and Technologists to design and coordinate their field testing requirements.
- Coordinate the field testing activities with external contacts (i.e. customer, distributor, vehicle manufacturers and external vehicle operators), across the region in AP, not only in India but also in countries like Indonesia/Australia.
- Develop cost estimates for field trials and closely monitor the costs of trials in operation.
- Assist in setting up field trials using external fleet testing organizations.
- Administer the field trials, maintaining close control over the operation and used oil analysis monitoring.
- Provide technical report of the outcomes of field trials to the Technologists.
- Provide diagnostic and root cause analysis support for internal and external field test owners.
- Drive efficiency initiatives and leverage digital tools
- Any additional responsibilities as assigned, e.g. provide support into lab-based testing projects, e.g. engine bench test and vehicle chassis dyno test.
- Diploma in Engineering related disciplines (i.e Mechanical, Automotive) preferred
- Minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Internal Combustion Engines used in e.g. Passenger Cars, Heavy Duty Diesel Vehicles, Motorcycles and Marines.
- Knowledge on Vehicle Transmissions and Electrified Vehicles (PHEV, EV) is a plus.
- Familiarization with the inner workings of Dealership and Fleet Service organizations
- Collaborative and works well within a team.
- Attention to detail, completes and documents activities in a timely manner.
- Ability to work in an ambiguous environment and different cultures.
- Ability to travel within AP region
