- Zycus is looking out for
- **Database Administrator **having expertise in
- **MongoDB database** solution including, database installation, configuration, performance tuning, High Availability / DR solutions, troubleshooting, and backups, monitoring and enhancements**Responsibilities**:

- Database administrator will be responsible for handling task requirements including Hardware, Architecture, configuration, Integration, and maintaining mission-critical Production databases along with other DBMS technology stack.
- Architect and improve the existing replica-set implementations
- Estimate database capacities; develop methods for monitoring database capacity and usage.
- Lead efforts to develop and improve procedures for automated monitoring and proactive intervention, reducing any need for downtime.
- Setup replica-sets using automation and scope out continuous improvements as the workload continues to grow
- Upgrade existing MongoDB Versions to latest, using automation1
- Migrate databases from self-managed instances to MongoDB Atlas
- Problem analysis and solution implementation
- Responsible for database performance review to ensure queries are optimized and tuned to perform efficiently prior to production release.
- Responsible for regular backups and recovery of databases.
- Responsible for regular maintenance of databases and proactive remediation of database operational problems.
- Responsible for Query tuning and preventative maintenance.
- Undergo cross training for other DBMS implementations.

**Job Requirement**

**Requirements**:

- 3-5 years of relevant experience in MongoDB required, along with other DBMS technologies
- Experienced as a DBA in high-load, large-sized production DB
- Must have experience in database architecture, logical and physical design, automation, documentation, installs, shell scripting, PL/ SQL programming, catalog navigation, query tuning, system tuning, resource contention analysis, backup and recovery, DR, replication, etc.
- Must have knowledge of AWS Cloud
- Hands-on experience on HA (High Availability) Configuration and strong knowledge of High Availability and Disaster Recovery concepts (i.e. Replica-Set’s)
- Ability to detect and troubleshoot database-related CPU, memory, I/O, disk space, and other resource contention issues. Have proficiency with Linux for basic administrative tasks
- Should be able to work and lead projects to closure, independently
- Must have strong knowledge of Linux operating systems
- Strong understanding of command line and server administration.
- Knowledge of shell scripting (e.g., Bash, Perl).
- Experience in Performance tuning
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills
- Keen to learn new technology with enthusiasm and analytical thinking
- Ability to work within a team environment. Self-starter and ability to perform work with mínimal supervisory direction
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Familiar with ITIL process of change management and incident management process.
- Experience with Unix/Linux including basic commands and basic shell scripting.
- Open to work on other DBMS technologies and up-skill respectively.
- Automation using Ansible, with knowledge on Jenkins, GITLAB
