About the role

In this role, you will work closely with senior business stakeholders in order to develop and deliver strategic initiatives in support of the current and future workforce needs of their business or portfolio. You will develop a deep understanding of both the business priorities and the internal and external environment, in order to determine strategic people initiatives which will provide a competitive advantage whilst maintain a strong focus on operational discipline. As a member of the Business Partnering tribe and a leader in the T&C function, you will also work closely with our broader T&C teams to ensure consistent delivery of services across the portfolio in alignment with Divisional and enterprise strategic people priorities. This will also include meeting regulatory and group compliance requirements and managing operational risk for key T&C activities as they are delivered across the region.You are someone who can thrive amidst complexity and can shape an agenda through ambiguity, adept at ‘joining the dots’ and looking ahead, across many moving parts. You will have a curious mind, are keen to learn and have a deep interest in understanding and championing progressive, digital solutions that can better meet our customer needs in the future. You will play a key role in coaching, advising and challenging business leaders, and as guardian of ANZ’s culture and values.

What will your day look like
Partner with business stakeholders and Performance Leads to identify and develop the key people initiatives to deliver on business strategy and employee and leadership needs.
Support and enable large scale transformation initiatives in partnership with the business, other T&C colleagues and external partners
Shape, define and support T&C interventions in collaboration with other T&C colleagues, to drive short and long-term performance, including effective organisational design, talent and succession management, transformation, engagement, change management, performance management, reward and recognition, and leadership coaching and development
Understand and translate business context and requirements to play a coaching and listening role with other colleagues to help align solutions and business needs
Represent T&C at relevant steering committees and oversee delivery T&C aspects of top priority projects
Ensure core T&C policies, processes and practices are clearly communicated and consistently applied throughout the business, working with T&C colleagues
What will you bring?
Commercial acumen combined with extensive Strategic Business Partner T&C experience. This translates to the ability to put theory in to practice in a large scale, complex, matrix environment
Excellent relationship management skills including the ability to influence outcomes, coach senior stakeholders, and build a profile as a trusted advisor
Skilled and effective change agent, collaborator and communicator
Background and demonstrated experience in large scale organisational change and cyclical activity
A track record of collaboration and connectivity across multiple and diverse teams to enable outcomes.
Ability to consult, and deep curiosity to understand needs and wants.
You will seek to understand the behaviours and culture around you in order to develop and grow people selflessly.
