**HSE Executive**

**POSITION PURPOSE**

Ensure effective implementation of HSE programs at Silvassa - CP site

Implementation of Bayer HSE Management programs alignment with ISO standards like: ISO 14001 & ISO 9001, Bayer Corporate requirements, Indian & local regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

**YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**HSE**
- Manage HSE programs for the current locations and ensure Zero Incident / Accident at site.
- Conduct periodic meetings like: Safety Committee, BBS, Contractor meeting, etc. along with members, area leads & Site lead to discuss organization-wide EHS related issues, EHS awareness improvement programs and ensure for implementation of action plan.
- Responsible for maintaining site HSE day-to-day activities like emergency management, incident investigation, permit to work, legal compliance, Occupational Health & Safety Risk Assessment (OHSRA), Job Safety Assessment (JSA) & other site-specific programs.
- Ensure maintaining HSE regulatory permits in place. This includes all Environment management (Pollution Control Board), Safety management (DISH) etc.
- Ensure Firefighting safety systems are in healthy condition by periodically inspecting & testing.
- Ensure smooth operation of ETP plant & define paraments are maintained.
- Ensure site HSE program, system & documentation meets expectations of Bayer requirements also Monitor performance and effectiveness of HSE programs. Analyze safety data and advise on appropriate measures to prevent new or recurring accidents.
- Ensure HSE related SOPs are updated and periodically review based on site, ISO requirements.
- Conducting internal HSE audits and supporting business to implement a corrective action plan.
- Collaborative working with site team for implementation HSE initiatives like: Contractor safety management, Fire safety, Plant & process safety, machinery safety, etc.
- Train employees and promote reporting of safety suggestions (SS), Near miss (NM), behavior-based safety (BBS) and log in IT tool (Intelex) and support business to implement a corrective action plan.
- Coordinate with Bayer PPS Practitioner & ensure site Plant process safety requirements are complied.
- Prepare and deliver HSE training program as per site, regulations and ISO requirements.
- Coordinating with various HSE vendors - including monitoring and PPE suppliers, etc.
- Celebrate Road Safety, Safety & Environment Day, Fire service day for encouragement of employees.
- Collaborating with Himmat Nagar based HSE leads to ensuring a consistent approach also align with other South Asia HSE team members as required.
- To support South Asia/ IBSL organization to achieve HSE goals.
- Support & initiate program for Sustainability (ESG).

**KEY WORKING RELATIONS**:

- Leadership, ESG, LPC, Site Services, Risk Management Team, people partner
- Site - LT
- Local Industry Associations, Regulatory Bodies and Industry partners, external vendors & contractors

**WHO YOU ARE**:

- Graduate degree (Bachelor of Science / Master of Science or Engineering preferred) and educational qualification in HSE (preferably PDIS / ADIS)
- 3-5 years' work experience - preferably in reputed company setting.
- Willingness to acquire technical HSE knowledge
- Knowledge of Indian HSE legislation (legal / company requirements) including but not limited to state Factories Rules, Air Act, Water Act, Environmental Protection Act and all related Rules.
- Strong interpersonal, initiative/ foresight and excellent written/ verbal communication skills.
- Fluent in English and one major language of the region.
