**SUMMARY**

This position will support the Partnerships and Fundraising team in designing the next 3-5 year strategy vision for Wadhwani AI and provide critical support in implementation of partnership and fundraising initiatives and directly raising resources for Wadhwani AI.

Wadhwani AI is a nonprofit institute building and deploying applied AI solutions to solve critical issues in public health, agriculture, education, and urban development in underserved communities in the global south. We collaborate with governments, social sector organizations, academic and research institutions, and domain experts to identify real-world problems, and develop practical AI solutions to tackle these issues with the aim of making a substantial positive impact.

We have over 30+ AI projects supported by leading philanthropies such as Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, USAID and Google.org. With a team of over 200 professionals, our expertise encompasses AI/ML research and innovation, software engineering, domain knowledge, design and user research.

**ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Research: Conduct primary and secondary research for the Institute across domains such as healthcare, agriculture, education, financial inclusion, fundraising and artificial intelligence/machine learning.
- Knowledge tools: Creating knowledge tools such as landscape reports, white papers, position papers, concept notes and presentations based on the research to inform decision making internal and external stakeholders.
- Database management: Create, curate and update databases of partners, donors and external stakeholders relevant to the Institute.
- External engagement: Work with the Strategic Programs and Fundraising teams to identify, outreach and engage with external stakeholders such as donors, non-profits, governments, academic institutions and for profit organizations - online and offline.
- Opportunity identification and evaluation: Support the team by identifying and exploring new use cases, programs and initiatives in AI for social impact for underserved communities.
- Grant and proposal writing: Write grant proposals, presentations and concept notes for current and new solutions, projects and programs at Wadhwani AI.
- Project management: Keep track of deliverables, timelines, and tasks for the Partnerships and Fundraising team.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- 3-5 years of work experience, preferably in consulting or program management
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Can work with multiple stakeholders, chasing and overachieving targets.
