Job Overview:
The General Manager (GM) of Marketing is responsible for overseeing the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, market share, and revenue growth for the barrel company. This senior leadership role will require an innovative, data-driven marketing expert who can lead a team, collaborate cross-functionally, and deliver results within a highly competitive industry.

Key Responsibilities:

- Marketing Strategy Development:

- Lead the creation and implementation of the company’s marketing strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
- Analyse market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activity to identify opportunities and potential threats.
- Develop annual and long-term marketing plans that enhance brand positioning and growth in target markets.
- Brand Management:

- Drive the development and strengthening of the company’s brand, ensuring consistency across all channels and communication touchpoints.
- Oversee the development of creative assets, messaging, and content for advertising campaigns, digital platforms, and print materials.
- Maintain brand integrity while tailoring messaging to different regional or industry-specific needs.
- Market Research & Insights:

- Oversee the collection and analysis of market research to better understand customer preferences, competitive dynamics, and emerging market trends.
- Conduct SWOT analysis regularly to monitor brand positioning and adjust marketing strategies accordingly.
- Team Leadership & Development:

- Manage and lead a team of marketing professionals, including digital marketers, designers, and communication specialists.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations to ensure high team engagement and productivity.
- Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning within the marketing department.
- Digital Marketing and Online Presence:

- Optimize online presence to increase visibility, engagement, and lead generation.
- Oversee the development and management of the company’s website and e-commerce platforms.
- Sales Enablement & Product Marketing:

- Collaborate with the sales team to develop sales tools, promotional materials, and lead generation strategies.
- Provide marketing support for new product launches, customer retention programs, and expansion into new markets.
- Coordinate with R&D or product teams to align marketing strategies with product development cycles.
- Budgeting Analysis:

- Manage the marketing budget, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently across all marketing channels.
- Monitor and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, using KPIs and metrics to evaluate ROI and optimize future initiatives.
- External Partnerships & Events:

- Build relationships with external stakeholders, including advertising agencies, suppliers, media partners, and industry influencers.
- Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and other relevant events to network, generate leads, and stay abreast of industry developments.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Degree: MBA in Marketing with First Class from reputed university.
- Minimum of 18 years of experience in marketing, with at least 12-15 years in a leadership or managerial role, preferably in manufacturing.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies that drive revenue and brand growth.
- Expertise in data-driven decision making, market research, and campaign performance analysis, Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong financial acumen, with experience managing large marketing budgets.
