Digital Service Product Owner

**Job Purpose**:
**We are looking for a Product Owner to join our BEAT product management team in building innovative financial products. You will be working closely with Business analysts, Developers, QA, UX, Scrum and Business teams to deliver technology solutions for Acuity clients globally.**

The Product Owner (PO) is one of the key operational roles within the BEAT digital product team. Responsible for maximizing the value delivered by the Scrum team and ensuring that the product backlog is aligned with stakeholder needs. As a member of the Product Owner community, the PO will be an advocate for end-user and business needs.

Elevating team performance

Key Responsibilities:
**1.** **Relationship management between Delivery and BEAT**
- Setting clear expectations for the Business and the Scrum teams.
- Translating complex requirements into simple iterative value roadmaps.
- Communicating the product vision to stakeholders across all levels.
- Accurately and efficiently managing the prioritisation of various projects.
- Be the face for IB product(s) and IB domain

**2.** **Commercial ownership**
- Taking responsibility for all stages of the product realisation process.
- Undertake ROI, NPV or Returns analysis on projects. Building reverse balance sheets (product financials) and securing sign-off from Business and Sales on the underlying product assumptions.
- Set up KPIs to track the performance and value delivered by products to clients e.g., operational objectives, commercial objectives, client satisfaction, etc.
- Establishing the business case / portfolio review for new products.
- Create and own the product roadmap.
- Prepare reports to update management and stakeholders on product development operations e.g. fortnightly Steering meetings.

**3.** **Product ownership responsibilities within scrum routines**
- Active role in mitigating impediments impacting the completion of Product Releases / Sprint Goals.
- Set deadline for product development and release date for products.
- Attend sprint planning and demo meetings to give feedback on sprint performance.
- Lead the grooming session and set expectations on delivery of new features / functionalities.
- Participate in Sprint ceremonies such as Daily Stand-up meeting, Grooming, Planning and Retrospectives.
- Sign-off user stories when completed and raises issues, if any.
- Lead the IB POD’s Show & Tell.

**4.** **Backlog prioritisation**
- Define the product features for iterative releases.
- Provide a clear description and outline the product features for implementation.
- Identify dependencies with other products and projects.
- Ongoing management of product backlog and backlog visibility.
- Ensures the POD always has an adequate number of tasks / stories in the backlog to execute.
- Assess ROI, develop cases, and prioritize features to deliver maximum value.
- Define, plan, and communicate key milestones to partners and stakeholders.

**5.** **Insight gathering**
- Bring the voice of the customer into the development of new products and relay their expectations to all Stakeholders.
- Capture client insights across all stages of product ideation, definition, and build.
- Turn insights into action e.g. pivot vs persevere, tweak product features for future release, etc.
- Open feedback channels pertaining to product releases and act upon client / customer feedback.
- Partner with Business Analysts and UX teams to create low fidelity wireframes to secure early feedback from DSOs / Delivery teams / users of the system.

**6.** **Driving iterative development**
- Define MVP (minimum viable product) for first release.
- Embed a test and learn approach into product development.
- Generate hypotheses at the ‘discover’ phase of the product development lifecycle.
- Evaluate build vs buy approaches to product development.
- Undertake proposition development.

**7.** **Sales and Marketing engagement and product launch**
- Prepare sales, marketing, and support teams for product launch/release.
- Training Account management and Delivery teams on Product Demo / Teach-ins.
- Co-ordinate with Sales and Marketing teams to build product collaterals and website / SEO content.
- Participate in firm-wide webinars to disseminate information on products, roadmap, and future releases.
- Work with the Product Management team to take new products to market.
