Key Responsibilities of a VMC Programmer with Fanuc Experience:

- **Program Development**:Creating CNC programs based on engineering drawings, specifications, and production requirements using CAD/CAM software like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Mastercam.
- **Tooling and Fixture Selection**:Choosing appropriate cutting tools, tool holders, and workholding fixtures for each machining operation.
- **Machine Setup**:Collaborating with machinists to set up VMC machines, including installing fixtures, aligning workpieces, and calibrating tools.
- **Programming**:Writing and modifying CNC programs using Fanuc controllers, including G-code and M-code, and optimizing toolpaths and cutting parameters.
- **Process Optimization**:Continuously improving machining processes to enhance efficiency, reduce cycle times, and minimize scrap.
- **Troubleshooting**:Identifying and resolving issues during machining, including program errors, machine malfunctions, and quality issues.
- **Documentation**:Maintaining records of programming, tooling, and inspection reports.
- **Safety**:Adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Required Skills and Experience:

- **Proficiency in CAD/CAM software**: Experience with software like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Mastercam.
- **Knowledge of G-code and M-code**: Understanding of CNC programming languages.
- **Experience with Fanuc controllers**: Hands-on experience with Fanuc control systems on VMC machines.
- **Experience with VMC machines**: Understanding of VMC machine operation and maintenance.
- **Ability to read and interpret technical drawings**: Proficiency in understanding blueprints and GD&T symbols.
- **Good communication and teamwork skills**: Ability to collaborate with machinists, engineers, and other team members.
- **Strong problem-solving skills**: Ability to troubleshoot machine issues and optimize processes
