As a sales assistant, you will provide invaluable support to the sales team, helping to maximize efficiency and effectiveness in all aspects of the sales process. Your responsibilities will include administrative tasks, customer service, and coordinating with various internal departments to ensure seamless operations.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Administrative Support**:
- Assist with the preparation of sales presentations, proposals, and contracts.
- Maintain and update customer databases and sales records.
- Schedule appointments and meetings for the sales team.
- Prepare and distribute sales reports and analyses as required.
- **Customer Service**:
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries and complaints.
- Provide product information, pricing, and availability to customers.
- Assist customers in placing orders and processing returns or exchanges.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through excellent communication and service.
- **Sales Support**:
- Assist the sales team in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Follow up with leads and prospects to nurture relationships and facilitate sales conversions.
- Coordinate with other departments such as marketing, logistics, and finance to fulfill customer orders and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for reaching sales targets and objectives.
- **Inventory Management**:
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the warehouse or procurement team to ensure adequate stock availability.
- Process purchase orders and track shipments to ensure timely delivery to customers.
- Assist with inventory reconciliation and cycle counts as needed.
- **General Support**:
- Provide general administrative support to the sales team, such as filing, organizing documents, and managing office supplies.
- Assist in planning and organizing sales events, trade shows, and promotional activities.
- Stay updated on product knowledge, industry trends, and competitive landscape to provide informed support to the sales team.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in sales or business administration is a plus.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a sales or customer service environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities.
**Working Conditions**:
- Typically office-based, though may involve occasional travel for events or client meetings.
