Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

1. Design and Drafting: Create 2D drawings and 3D models using SOLIDWORKS, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.

2. Design for Manufacturability: Design parts and assemblies with consideration for manufacturing processes, materials, and tolerances.

3. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality, to ensure design requirements are met.

4. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including drawings, models, and design files.

5. Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot design and drafting issues, providing solutions and recommendations for improvement.

**Requirements**:
1. Education: Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design, or a related field.

2. Experience: 2-5 years of experience in SOLIDWORKS design and drafting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

3. Technical Skills: Proficient in SOLIDWORKS (2D and 3D), with knowledge of design principles, geometric dimensioning, and tolerancing (GD&T).

4. Soft Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

1. Certifications: Certified SOLIDWORKS Associate (CSWA) or Certified SOLIDWORKS Professional (CSWP).

2. Programming Skills: Familiarity with programming languages, such as Visual Basic (VB) or C#.

3. Design for Additive Manufacturing: Knowledge of design principles for additive manufacturing (3D printing).
