The goal of data migration testing is to verify that the data transferred correctly, without compromising data integrity or disrupting business operations.
Key responsibilities include executing test plans, validating data accuracy, and troubleshooting issues.
Proficiency in data testing tools, and knowledge of SQL, ETL processes, and data management systems are essential.
A Data Migration Tester must have strong analytical skills to identify data inaccuracies during migration processes.
Develop and execute test plans and test cases for data migration projects.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment often with short QA cycles.
Report testing status to QA Manager and Project Team daily/weekly.
