- 2. Accountable for creating an environment that enables our stakeholders to use data to derive new insight and predict outcomes using AI, statistical and machine learning techniques.
- 3. Lead on CFU engagements to supports strategic goals, identify opportunities and deliver value through the harvesting & exploitation of data and analytics at scale.
- 4. Build, coach, mentor, develop and line manage a team of data management/analysis talent to adopt Agile and value-based delivery principles to support and accelerate the group wide data strategy.
- 5. Provide technical leadership to multidisciplinary engineering teams alongside programme and commercial peers to deliver high-value projects.
- 6. Develop strong relationships with DAIS teams (such Architecture, Data Management, Data Governance, Data Science), as well as external leaders in industry in order to ensure sharing & consistency of best practice as well as utilising cross functional technologies- What I’ll be doing - your accountabilities- Accountable for defining and leading data management and analytics/insight for CFU.
- Owns CFU’s data assets for reporting and analytics.
- Be responsible for end to end delivery of data projects across the full lifecycle - extraction, transformation, loading (ETL), analysis, visualisation, deployment and delivery.
- Accountable for realising value from CFU data and ensuring that business value is fully generated, delivering key scorecard KPI’s including revenue, cost savings and customer experience improvements.
- Truly understanding the way that data and the cloud need to be used & exploited in our business for maximum value.
- Use business judgment & analytical tools in driving the best results for CFU teams.
- Leads on technical skills and talent development for the team.
- Handle a large amount of structured and unstructured data from a variety of data sources.
- Skills required for the job-
- Technical Domain Expertise: Significant expertise in the data management, data modelling, data quality, data governance, master data management and metadata management.
- Qualifications: Outstanding academic record in technology specialism with post-graduate qualification(s).
- Expert communicator: Outstanding presentation skills and experience presenting sometimes complex technologies and concepts to Board/CxO level customers and internal stakeholders to influence strategy and spend decisions.
- Story-telling with data: Strong skills in building the case for change, drawing on data and analytical techniques where appropriate, and communicating this to external audiences
- Programme management: Delivery of key programmes out into the CFU, down-streaming data for CFU teams.
- Experience you would be expected to have- Technical domain expert: Considerable hands-on (10+ years) experience with API's for data delivery/ingestion, e.g. REST APIs.
- Proven experience designing and delivering BI and analytics solutions on cloud technologies such as GCP.
- Excellent knowledge and working experience on data management technologies and frameworks.
- Significant delivery: evidence of developing and automating of the production of data engineering metrics.
- Stakeholder management: evidence of managing multiple stakeholders across the business at a variety of grade and seniority levels.
- Innovative Thinker: ability to spot and identify new innovations and act to bring them in and capitalise and create value.
- Commercial Applicability: understanding the business case principals around relevant innovations and the real value to the business through value proposition build.
- Communication: experience of story telling with data and presenting to MDs/CxOs (MANDATORY)
