We are seeking a visionary **Principal Solutions Architect** to help design and scale a next-generation **Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI)** that will redefine how India delivers safe, reliable, and sustainable water access to its citizens. This is more than just a technology role — it’s an opportunity to influence how entire systems and states build, integrate, and innovate digital platforms for social good.

Based in **Bengaluru**, you’ll collaborate with top-tier technologists, government leaders, and DPI architects who have shaped India’s digital transformation journeys. You will drive the technical strategy, define architecture standards, and enable seamless interoperability across platforms. Your work will directly impact millions by improving governance efficiency and accelerating inclusive, sustainable growth.

**Key Responsibilities**

**1. Strategic Architecture & Design**

Lead the architecture and design of complex, large-scale systems serving national and state-level programs.

Create scalable, secure, and interoperable blueprints for digital infrastructure aligned with public sector objectives.

Define architectural principles and patterns that balance agility, security, and sustainability.

**2. Solution Engineering & Implementation**

Architect distributed systems, APIs, and registries that promote openness and interoperability.

Oversee full lifecycle solution development — from design and prototyping to deployment and maintenance.

Establish frameworks for security, privacy, and data governance across multiple digital ecosystems.

**3. Ecosystem Collaboration & Enablement**

Partner with government stakeholders, policy teams, and ecosystem partners to translate functional needs into technical solutions.

Build reference implementations, SDKs, and developer toolkits to enable adoption across the ecosystem.

Promote standards-based integration among technology partners and state systems.

**4. Leadership & Mentorship**

Guide a multidisciplinary team of engineers, solution designers, and data specialists.

Conduct code and design reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and technical excellence.

Cultivate a collaborative, innovation-driven engineering culture.

**5. Technology Evangelism & Innovation**

Stay ahead of emerging technologies, evaluating their potential to enhance DPI components.

Represent the organization in key DPI, GovTech, and open-source communities.

Advocate for open standards, reusable components, and data-driven policymaking.

**Core Technical Expertise**

**Architecture & Systems Design**: Expertise in microservices, API-first design, and cloud-native architectures.

**Programming**: Proficiency in at least one backend language — **Java, Python,**Node.js**, or Go**.

**API & Integration**: Experience designing REST/GraphQL APIs, event-driven systems, and integration frameworks.

**Cloud Infrastructure**: Deep understanding of **AWS, Azure, or GCP**, with strong hands-on exposure to serverless and containerized environments (**Docker, Kubernetes**).

**Data Engineering**: Skilled with both **SQL and NoSQL** databases and modern data streaming tools (**Kafka, Spark Streaming**).

**Security & Compliance**: Knowledge of data protection, OAuth 2.0, and secure design principles.

**DevOps & Automation**: Experience with CI/CD tools like **GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI**, and Infrastructure as Code tools such as **Terraform**.

**AI/ML Integration**: Awareness of **LLMs, RAG architectures, and ethical AI** deployment in public systems.

**Qualifications & Experience**

**10+ years** of progressive experience in software architecture, with **3+ years** in a senior or principal architect capacity.

Proven track record in **large-scale system design, digital transformation, or public-sector technology initiatives**.

Demonstrated expertise in **architecting open, interoperable, and scalable systems**.

Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in **Computer Science, Engineering, or related field**.
