- Maintain discipline and foster a productive classroom atmosphere.
- Encourage student participation and critical thinking through discussions and debates.
- **Assessment and Evaluation**:
- Develop and conduct assessments like tests, quizzes, and assignments.
- Provide constructive feedback to students on their performance.
- Grade assignments and maintain records of students’ progress.
- **Personalized Guidance**:
- Identify the learning needs of individual students and offer extra support where required.
- Help students prepare for board exams, competitive exams, or other history-related projects.
- **Research and Updating Knowledge**:
- Stay updated with the latest developments in historical research and teaching methods.
- Participate in professional development activities such as workshops and seminars.
- **Parental Communication**:
- Regularly communicate with parents about the progress of their children.
- Organize parent-teacher meetings and share important updates.
- **Extra-Curricular Activities**:
- Encourage students to participate in history-related activities like quizzes, debates, and exhibitions.
- Organize field trips to museums, historical sites, and relevant locations to enhance practical learning.
**Key Skills and Qualifications**:
- **Educational Qualification**:
- A Master’s degree (M.A.) in History from a recognized university.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed.) is often required for teaching at the senior school level.
- **Subject Knowledge**:
- In-depth knowledge of historical events, theories, and historiography.
- Ability to teach different branches of history, such as ancient, medieval, modern, and world history.
- **Communication Skills**:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey historical concepts.
- Ability to engage students and make history interesting.
- **Patience and Empathy**:
- Ability to understand and cater to students’ individual learning styles.
- Being patient and approachable to help students overcome challenges in understanding complex historical ideas.
- **Tech-Savviness**:
- Familiarity with digital tools for online teaching, as well as using presentations, videos, and other resources to make lessons more engaging.
**Job Location and Employment**:
PGT History teachers are typically employed in senior secondary schools, government schools, private schools, or coaching centers. They may also be found in online teaching platforms
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
