**Job Title**: Postgraduate Teacher (PGT) - Mathematics

**Location**: Dr. Y.S. Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry Nauni, Solan - 173230 (Near Shimla) Himachal Pradesh, India

**Position Type**: Full-Time, Permanent

**Reports To**: Head of Mathematics Department

**Job Overview**:
We are excited to find a skilled & energetic postgraduate teacher (PGT) for mathematics to be part of our team. The right person should understand concepts well, love teaching, & be dedicated to making a positive learning space. This role will include giving great lessons, involving students in deeper math ideas, & helping the department shine.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Teaching**: Share interesting and effective lessons in math.

2. **Curriculum Development**: Create, apply, & review the math curriculum. It should meet educational standards and support all students' needs—also follow the updated syllabus.

3. **Assessment**: Make tests, assignments, & exams to check on student progress. Offer helpful feedback to help them reach their goals.

4. **Student Support**: Provide extra help when needed. This can include one-on-one tutoring for different learning needs or challenges.

5. **Classroom Management**: Keep a friendly & focused classroom that motivates students to participate & love math even more

6. **Professional Development**: Continue to learn and grow in your profession so you stay up-to-date with new teaching methods and math changes.

8. **Administrative Role**: Keep accurate records of student progress and attendance. Prepare reports and attend parent-teacher meetings when needed.

9. **Extracurricular Activities**: Get involved in fun math-related activities like clubs, contests, or workshops.

**Qualifications**:
1. **Education**: A master’s degree in mathematics or a related field is required. A B.Ed. is preferred.

2. **Experience**: At least 2 years of teaching experience at the postgraduate level is needed. Experience in a similar school is a plus

**Skills**:
1. Strong understanding of advanced math concepts & where to use them.

2. Great communication skills—both talking & presenting.

3. Ability to inspire different types of learners.

4. Good at using educational tools & technology.

5. Strong skills in organizing & managing time effectively.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
