Job Duties
- Manages CNC machines to perform different jobs including drilling, grinding and milling.
- Prepares and loads raw materials and parts onto the machines
- Checks and replaces inserts for blunt edge, cleans the pockets of the inserts,
- Checks if the first piece produced is within the given tolerance and meets the quality standards.
- Ensures the CNC machine operates in accordance with the fed program on the CNC machine
- Inspects and measures finished products and compares them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly
- Checks machinery on a daily basis to guarantee functionality.
- Routine maintenance of CNC machines; checks oil levels, coolant levels and concentration, and monitors overall machine performance
- Records all machine actions by completing production and quality logs.
- Communicates issues that arise in the process of creating a part
- Ensures that results of machining process align with client expectations.
- Conducts regular CNC machine assessments.
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Inspects the work area and machines that were used during the day prior to leaving at the end of each shift.
