**Position**: Storekeeper
**Location**: On-Site (Construction/Project Location)
**Reporting To**: Project Manager/Purchase Manager

**Job Overview**:
The Storekeeper is responsible for managing and overseeing all material inventory, equipment, and supplies on-site. The role requires efficient coordination with the purchase and project management teams, ensuring that all necessary materials are available for construction activities and are stored securely. The Storekeeper is also responsible for maintaining accurate records of goods received, issued, and stock levels.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Inventory Management**:

- Receive, inspect, and verify the quantity and quality of incoming materials.
- Maintain proper inventory control and ensure that materials are stored safely and securely.
- Update stock registers and records for all incoming and outgoing materials.
- **Stock Control**:

- Regularly monitor stock levels and provide accurate reports to the Purchase and Project Manager.
- Ensure that minimum stock levels are maintained to avoid shortages or interruptions in construction work.
- Conduct physical stock verification regularly and reconcile with system records.
- **Material Issuance**:

- Issue materials and equipment to site workers, ensuring that requisition forms are signed and materials are used efficiently.
- Keep accurate records of all issued materials and ensure accountability for usage.
- **Documentation**:

- Maintain updated and organized records of stock in the store.
- Prepare goods receipt notes, material requisitions, and issue vouchers.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports and submit them to the relevant departments.
- **Coordination**:

- Collaborate with the Purchase and Engineering teams to ensure timely availability of materials as per the project requirements.
- Liaise with suppliers and transporters to arrange deliveries on time.
- **Health & Safety Compliance**:

- Ensure safe storage practices, complying with all safety regulations for handling materials.
- Conduct regular checks to ensure that storage areas are safe and secure.
- Report any issues related to material quality, damage, or storage conditions to the relevant teams.
- **Waste Management**:

- Maintain a system for the disposal of scrap materials and ensure waste is managed in compliance with company policies.
- **Miscellaneous**:

- Keep the store area clean, organized, and secure at all times.
- Assist in identifying cost-effective storage solutions and implementing best practices for material handling.
- Assist in maintaining equipment records for tools used on-site and ensure they are properly maintained.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- High school diploma or equivalent (a degree in logistics or supply chain management would be a plus).
- Prior experience in construction site storekeeping or material management.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and familiarity with inventory management software.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations in construction.

**Work Environment**:

- The storekeeper will work on-site at the construction location.
- Must be able to lift and move materials and perform other physically demanding tasks.

- Timeliness in preparing and submitting reports.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Fixed shift

Work Location: In person
