**Job description-**

As a Desktop Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing technical assistance and support to end-users within an organization. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure smooth operation and maintenance of desktop computing systems and peripherals.

Key Responsibilities:

- Technical Support: Respond to user inquiries and troubleshoot issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity. Assist users in resolving problems by providing step-by-step instructions or performing hands-on troubleshooting.
- Hardware Maintenance: Install, configure, and upgrade desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other peripheral devices. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as hardware inspections, cleaning, and component replacement.
- User Account Management: Create and manage user accounts, passwords, and access rights in line with the organization's security policies. Provide support for password resets and account lockouts.
- System Monitoring: Monitor the performance of desktop systems and promptly address any issues or abnormalities. Collaborate with the IT team to identify and resolve recurring problems or potential system vulnerabilities.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of support activities, including incident logs, service requests, and equipment inventory. Prepare reports on common technical issues, trends, and recommended solutions.
- Training and Knowledge Sharing: Assist in conducting training sessions to educate end-users on basic software and hardware usage, security practices, and troubleshooting techniques. Share knowledge and best practices with colleagues to enhance the overall support capabilities.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or technical training is a plus.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Basic knowledge of networking principles and protocols.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality support services.

**Salary**: ₹16,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Kolkata, West Bengal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Higher Secondary(12th Pass) (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Desktop support: 2 years (preferred)
- total work: 2 years (preferred)
