About the Role:
The Brew Estate is looking for talented and passionate Commis Chefs to join our culinary team. As a Commis Chef, you will play a crucial role in assisting our chefs in preparing exceptional dishes that complement our craft beers and enhance our guests' experience. Key Responsibilities:
'¢ Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes in line with the restaurant's standards.
'¢ Follow instructions from senior chefs to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
'¢ Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety in the kitchen.
'¢ Ensure all ingredients are properly stored, labeled, and prepared according to recipes and portion guidelines.
'¢ Support the kitchen team during busy service periods by handling basic tasks such as chopping, peeling, and prepping ingredients.
'¢ Monitor stock levels and report any shortages to the head chef.
'¢ Participate in maintaining and cleaning kitchen equipment to ensure functionality and safety.
Skills and Requirements:
'¢ Previous experience as a Commis Chef or in a similar role is preferred, but freshers with a passion for cooking are welcome to apply.
'¢ Basic knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
'¢ A proactive attitude and willingness to learn from experienced chefs.
'¢ Strong teamwork and communication skills to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
'¢ Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail, especially during busy periods.
'¢ A commitment to maintaining food quality, hygiene, and safety standards.
'¢ Culinary certifications or training are a plus.
