**Job Summary**:
The Dean of the Law School is responsible for the strategic leadership, operational management, and academic excellence of the Law School. They will spearhead initiatives to enhance the quality of legal education, research, and community engagement. The Dean will work closely with faculty, students, and external stakeholders to advance the Law School’s mission and vision within the competitive landscape of Indian private higher education.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- ** Strategic Leadership and Vision**
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the Law School’s reputation, academic standards, and research output.
- Promote an environment that encourages innovative teaching, learning, and scholarship among faculty and students.
- Represent the Law School within the university and to external bodies, including the legal profession, community organizations, and accreditation bodies.
- **
Academic Excellence and Curriculum Development**
- Oversee the development, review, and accreditation of law programs to ensure they meet the highest educational standards and are responsive to the evolving needs of the legal profession.
- Enhance the Law School’s contribution to the university’s research profile, including fostering interdisciplinary research initiatives.
- **
Faculty Development and Management**
- Recruit, support, and develop a diverse and outstanding faculty, facilitating professional development opportunities, and encouraging excellence in teaching, research, and service.
- Evaluate faculty performance regularly and ensure that faculty activities align with the Law School’s strategic goals.
- **
Student Recruitment and Success**
- Oversee student recruitment strategies to attract high-caliber law students from diverse backgrounds.
- Enhance student success and wellbeing through supportive learning environments, mentorship programs, and career development opportunities.
- **
Financial Management and Fundraising**
- Develop and manage the Law School’s budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to support strategic priorities.
- Lead fundraising efforts to secure external funding for scholarships, faculty research, and infrastructure improvements.
- **
Community Engagement and Legal Services**
- Foster partnerships with legal practitioners, government agencies, and non-governmental organizations to provide students with practical learning opportunities and to contribute to community legal services.
- Promote legal literacy and access to justice through community engagement initiatives.

**Qualifications**:

- A terminal degree in Law (e.g., LLM, JD, PhD) from a recognized institution.
- A distinguished record of academic and professional achievement in the field of law.
- Significant experience in academic leadership roles within higher education, preferably in law schools.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans, manage budgets, and lead academic programs.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
