Cashier - Cochin

**Job Title: Cashier**

We are seeking a friendly and efficient cashier to join our restaurant team. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for processing customer orders accurately and efficiently, handling payments, and providing excellent customer service.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Customer Service**:Greet customers warmly and assist them with their orders. Provide helpful and courteous service to ensure a positive dining experience.

2. **Order Processing**:Accurately input customer orders into the POS (Point of Sale) system. Ensure that orders are entered correctly and modifications are accurately noted.

3. **Payment Handling**:Process cash, credit/debit cards, and digital payments accurately. Calculate and provide correct change to customers. Handle refunds and exchanges as needed.

4. **Menu Knowledge**:Familiarize yourself with the restaurant menu to answer customer questions about ingredients, allergens, and available options.

5. **Maintaining cleanliness cards**: Keep the cashier's station clean and organized. Ensure that menus, promotional materials, and payment terminals are well-maintained.

6. **Basic Computer Skills**: Proficiently operate the POS system and other basic computers necessary for cashier duties. This includes inputting orders, processing payments, and generating receipts.

7. **Team Collaboration**:Collaborate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure orders are processed accurately and delivered promptly to customers.

8. **Problem-Solving**:Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and concerns professionally and escalate issues to management when necessary.

**Requirements**:

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Basic math skills are needed for processing payments and calculating change.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order processing.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with POS systems and Microsoft Office.
- Previous experience in customer service or cashier roles is preferred, but not required.

**Working Conditions**:
This position requires standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of light to moderate items.

Pay: ₹14,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
