Principal Product Designer

JioCinema is seeking a talented Principal Product Designer with a proven track record, to lead our Acquisition, Identity and Consumption teams combined. This hugely impactful role covers a wide spectrum of customer experience across all JioCinema products. The Acquisition Pod focus on getting our customers in the front door; from first-time user experience and partnerships to SEO.

The Identity pod focus on the persona of a JioCinema customer; everything from their profile, to personalisation, recommendations, favourite sports team or app settings. The Consumption team ensure your watching experience is world class, caring for our streaming, players and reels across every screen size. You will be leading the end-to-end production of design craft and solutions across all 3 of these landscapes as well as guiding and line managing Designers in those spaces already.

**What you’ll do**:

- User ExperienceDesign: Work into each pod’s strategy by defining and crafting the look, feel, and interaction of each experience. Everything from wireframes, prototypes, and user flows which communicate design concepts - to final fit and finish, interaction design, animation and development handover. You are expected to lead by showing, not telling. Your work exemplifies best-in-class process and design solutions.
- InteractionDesign: Transition your creative exploration and screen design into interactive, moving prototypes. You understand how motion helps tell a story, moves customers from A to B, and brings games to life. From subtle movements to playful and expressive transformations, you can incorporate motion into UI to help amplify the personality of our products and enhance user experiences.
- ContinuousImprovement: Evangelise your knowledge of current industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to first-time-user-experiences, profiles and personas, streaming services, and entertainment players. Actively seek feedback from users and stakeholders to iterate and improve designs based on insights and data.
- CollaborationandCommunication: In this role specifically, you will be managing the workload of 3 independent pods. Therefore, you will be liaising, planning and prioritising with Product Leads, Engineering Managers and Technical Product Managers on a daily basis. You will need evidenced experience of working closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Engineers, Data Analysts, and Marketers to ensure alignment on roadmaps and implementation. Effectively communicate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders

**We are looking for you if**:

- 7+ years of experience as a Product Designer with a proven track record.
- 2 + years of demonstrable people management experience coaching and developing team members
- Energised by hands-on work, designing flows, building prototypes, running discovery activities and polishing final designs.
- Experience working cross-platform (TV/Mobile/Web) and collaborating closely with Design Systems teams.
- Able to challenge assumptions and biases in themselves and others.
- Able to work collaboratively in real time and asynchronously.
- Enjoys mentoring Designers.
- A mastery of Design tooling for production and prototyping (Figma, Principle etc)
