**Location**: The Nattika Beach Ayurveda Resort, Thrissur, Kerala
**Department**: Kitchen
**Reports to**: Head Chef / Sous Chef

**Overview**

The Nattika Beach Ayurveda Resort is renowned for its premium wellness and Ayurveda-inspired retreats. As a Commis Chef, you will assist the kitchen team in preparing high-quality dishes, supporting the creation of a diverse menu, including Ayurvedic and wellness-focused cuisine. You will work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver an exceptional dining experience that aligns with the resort's wellness philosophy.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Food Preparation**
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes as per the menu under the guidance of senior chefs.
- Help with ingredient preparation, including washing, chopping, and measuring portions for service.

**Ayurvedic Cuisine**
- Support the preparation of Ayurvedic and dietary-specific meals, ensuring compliance with dietary requirements and guest preferences.
- Maintain consistency in the presentation, taste, and nutritional value of Ayurvedic dishes.

**Hygiene and Safety**
- Follow hygiene and safety protocols in the kitchen at all times, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
- Assist in maintaining the sanitation and proper storage of kitchen equipment and tools.

**Team Collaboration**
- Work with the kitchen team to ensure meals are served timely and meet The Nattika Beach’s quality standards.
- Be proactive in learning and developing culinary skills from senior chefs.

**Inventory Management**
- Help with receiving and storing kitchen deliveries.
- Maintain stock levels and communicate needs to the kitchen management.

**Qualifications**
- Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in hotels, resorts, or wellness retreats.
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations, food safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Interest in wellness and Ayurvedic cuisine is highly desirable.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior chefs.

**Physical Requirements**
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in a hot kitchen environment.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items when necessary.
