PLC Engineer

Key responsibilities- Installation and commissioning:
- Oversee the physical installation, testing, and commissioning of PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems at client sites.
Troubleshooting:
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in automation systems to minimize downtime.
Programming and development:
- Develop, test, and maintain PLC-based automation systems and design HMI interfaces.
Electrical design:
- Design and assemble electrical control and power circuits, and assist with electrical installation and maintenance.
Technical support:
- Act as the main point of contact for clients on-site, providing technical assistance and training.
Project coordination:
- Coordinate Factory and Site Acceptance Tests (FAT/SAT) with customers and collaborate with vendors.
Root cause analysis:
- Perform root cause analysis on system issues and suggest improvements.
- Required skills and qualifications- Technical skills:
- Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and HMI/SCADA design.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Profinet).
- Familiarity with electrical wiring, control schematics, and panel design.
- Experience with a variety of industrial components like sensors, VFDs, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Problem-solving:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are crucial for troubleshooting.
Soft skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interaction.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Education:
- A Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or a related field is typically required.
