Job description

**Quality is in the eye of the copy editor**

**Key responsibilities**:

- Proofread materials for spelling, grammar, punctuation, consistency, and brand voice.
- Review includes all the design-related elements like Logos, frames, colors, typography, imagery etc.
- Adapt the copy to the style consistent with similar works, in accordance with ZS standards and Brand guidelines.
- Proofread written research outputs like word, PPT, PDF, InDesign, Visio files, Brochures etc., and ensure error-free copies of the assigned content
- Fact check dates and other statements to ensure accuracy
- Rephrase the written text to ensure document structure and content are consistent
- Stay abreast with grammatical development as well as new terminologies in a language
- Ensure illustrations are suitably referenced and captioned
- Acts as expert resource on grammar, punctuation, and other editorial issues
- Manage and deliver quality design projects through all phases of development: creative consulting, storyboarding, providing concepts based on customer interaction, designing, revising, troubleshooting, and producing a final product.
- Copy editor, working as part of a larger editing team, attend team meetings, provide constructive editorial input, and communicate with team members to effectuate consistent, accurate, and

high-quality work product.
- Gain expertise on ZS and client brand identity standards and brand templates.
- Effectively interact with India, US, and Global customers; understand the scope and purpose of the clients’ requirements.
- Follow directions, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and respond to urgent requests in a

positive manner.
- Work closely with other design professionals to solve problems and communicate resolutions.

**Qualifications**:

- Graduate/Post-graduate in any discipline.
- Graduates from Pharma and life sciences related domain is an added advantage
- Up to two years of experience in corporate graphic design and content management. (Portfolio should include samples that

reflect capabilities).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel). Ability to work with templates and styles, and familiarity of working within corporate identity guidelines.
- Must possess excellent English verbal and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build credibility and collaborate with firm personnel at all levels.
- Knowledge of Adobe Suite is a plus.

**Key Competencies and Skill**:

- Attention to detail and exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Basic Knowledge in Adobe suite and Microsoft office for providing editing, proof reading and design support.
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Big egos will not fit the bill.
