**Experience:

- **Professional Experience**: A minimum of 8 - 10 years of working experience (Senior researcher/ APD) of which minimum 5 years should be related to climate change adaptation/ mitigation, ecological economics, resource efficiency or Green Economy. Involvement in the implementation or preparation of development/ climate change projects is preferred. Good understanding of Natural Resource Management, agriculture, Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigatand sustainable development issues.

**Other Qualifications**:
Experienced in literature review, primary survey designing, primary and secondary data collection/ analysis, technical report writing, and presentation skills are must. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and oral communication skill in Hindi is required. Good working knowledge of modern telecommunication systems, IT-know-how (MS-Office, Access or another database program). Experienced in carrying out valuation of ecosystem services are desirable.

**Skills**: Independent thinking, planning and designing research initiatives, in-depth understanding of policy environment, development and climate finance, proven editing presentation, analytical, written and verbal communication skills, especially in English.
- In-depth research, data collection, analysis and report writing, presentation along with development of the other knowledge products.
- Execution of climate change adaptation finance/ green economy/ NRM and water resource related projects focusing on agricultural and allied sectors
- Working closely within and across team to finalize the research reports
- Networking with several stakeholders to get review of the research work.

**Specifically, the incumbent should have**:

- Experience of working in development sectors (preferably agriculture and water)/ Government departments, towards addressing the issues of agricultural/ water sector (sustainable use of natural resources, sectoral schemes and policies, climate change adaptation, mitigation and climate finance).
- Ability to comprehend, critique, analyses and articulate.
- Ability to guide and lead the group work, manage team, draw conclusions and present the same at national and international forums.
- A national perspective of development work and ability to network.
- Ability to manage clients/ donors/ stakeholders to efficiency deliver the work.
- Ability to develop proposals for potential funding, build an active pipeline of potential opportunities in accordance with the plan to meet and achieve the target of the domain as per the current annual plan.
- Ability to lead and manage the PPD portfolio of Climate Change Resilience & Ecosystem restoration along with the domain lead and deliver the results at the highest level.
