**Position Title**: Quality Controller - Home Décor Products
**Location**: G-88, Near UCO Bank, Sitapura Industrial Area, Sitapura, Jaipur, Rajasthan

**Reports To**: Quality Assurance Manager / Production Manager

**Job Type**: Full-Time
**Salary**: ₹25,000 to ₹35,000 per month (depending on experience and qualifications)

**Position Overview**

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Product Inspection**: Inspect finished home décor products, including **curtains, rugs, bed sheets, pillow covers, fitted sheets, and other home têxtiles** for quality, functionality, aesthetics, and compliance with company standards and client specifications.
- **Quality Assurance**: Conduct systematic checks and tests on raw materials (fabrics, threads, dyes, etc.), semi-finished, and finished goods to ensure adherence to product specifications and quality standards.
- **Defect Identification & Reporting**: Identify defects such as colour mismatches, fabric flaws, stitching issues, or size discrepancies. Document and report findings to production and design teams for corrective actions.
- **Sampling and Testing**: Perform random sampling of products for both visual inspection and functional testing (e.g., fabric durability, shrinkage tests, wash fastness, colourfastness, etc.).
- **Vendor/Factory Audits**: Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure that materials (e.g., fabrics, threads, dyes) meet our quality guidelines. Conduct vendor audits as needed.
- **Compliance & Standards**: Ensure that all products meet relevant industry standards and regulations, including safety standards for têxtiles, environmental considerations, and certifications (e.g., ISO, OEKO-TEX).
- **Documentation and Reporting**: Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, corrective actions, and product performance. Generate quality control reports (weekly/monthly) for management review.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Work closely with the production, design, and R&D teams to identify opportunities for process improvement. Recommend adjustments or changes to improve quality and efficiency.
- **Customer Complaints Handling**: Address quality-related customer complaints and work with the customer service team to resolve product issues or returns related to quality concerns.
- **Training**: Assist in training production staff on quality standards, best practices, and inspection techniques for home décor products.

**Key Requirements**
- **Experience**: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance in the **home décor** or **têxtiles** industry (specifically dealing with products like curtains, bed linens, rugs, and other fabric-based home décor items).
- **Knowledge**:

- Strong understanding of têxtile manufacturing processes (weaving, dyeing, finishing, etc.) and quality control techniques specific to home décor items.
- Familiarity with fabric testing procedures (e.g., durability, shrinkage, colourfastness).
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to têxtiles and home décor products.
- **Skills**:

- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to identify flaws in materials, stitching, and overall product quality.
- Proficiency in using measurement tools (e.g., rulers, callipers) and testing equipment for têxtiles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) for documentation and reporting.
- Ability to assess product aesthetics (e.g., colour consistency, pattern alignment) as well as functionality (e.g., durability, fit).
- **Education**: A Bachelor’s degree in **Textile Engineering**, **Industrial Engineering**, **Quality Assurance**, or a related field is preferred.
- **Soft Skills**:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills to convey quality issues and solutions to the team.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- **Additional Requirements**:

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Willingness to travel to supplier or manufacturing sites as needed.

**Desirable Qualifications**
- Experience with **statistical process control (SPC)** or **data analysis**.
- Certification in Quality Management, Six Sigma, or related methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma Green Belt).
- Familiarity with ERP or quality management software.
