We have an opportunity for an experienced and commercially-minded magazine editor to lead the curation of a bespoke digital travel magazine for a world-leading brand within the travel and hospitality industry. This is a rare opportunity to elevate the magazine as a modern travel/lifestyle title, that puts the leading client at the core of its content.

**Accountabilities**:
**How you will contribute**:
- Defining the magazine’s identity to be on-brand for the travel demographic
- Taking full ownership of the title, from inception through to publishing; creating captivating story lists; commissioning and writing copy and managing the production workflow
- Collaborating with the art director to produce a creatively striking digital product that stands out in the market place
- Producing the magazine on time and within budget to the full satisfaction of the client
- To create and deliver the overall content plan, across all platforms, liaising closely with the client to ensure all objectives are exceeded
- Commission and oversee contributors with content and budget responsibility
- Oversee newsletter content curation and dispatch strategy
- Ensure the brand's editorial standards are met, all relevant copyrights have been cleared, content is optimised for SEO and content meets local and legal guidelines.
- Work with the client and the team to create an editorial content calendar. Keep it current, identifying commercial and audience opportunities within it and communicating them to other members of the team.
- Work as an integrated member of a talented editorial team. Contribute to other brand extensions as needed and required by your manager

**The desirable skills for this role include**:
- Strong editorial and digital experience and a proven background as an Editor within a travel title
- Must have US - related travel writing experience
- A can-do approach, well-organised, creative and calm under pressure with an eye for a good story
- Experience in travel writing and ability to commission to a tight brief and small budget
- Existing contacts with established journalists
- Ability to work in and contribute to a dynamic team-based environment
- A collaborative approach is essential as you will be expected to work with US digital and editorial strategy leads
- Act as an effective brand ambassador for and an evangelist for the brand in the market
- Have your finger on the pulse of the travel market; use your professional contacts and social-media networks to be the first to identify the next big thing
