Job Description: Speech and Language Pathologist (Cleft Lip and Palate Specialist)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) with a specialization in cleft lip and palate care to join our team. This role is ideal for a compassionate professional who is passionate about helping individuals with speech, language, and feeding disorders related to craniofacial anomalies.

As a Speech and Language Pathologist, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including surgeons, orthodontists, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement individualized therapy plans. Your primary focus will be on assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders associated with cleft lip and palate. You will be instrumental in helping patients improve their communication skills, speech clarity, and overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, and feeding disorders related to cleft lip and palate.
- Develop individualized treatment plans targeting articulation, resonance, and feeding challenges.
- Provide direct therapy services to patients, utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive treatment for each patient.
- Educate patients and families on techniques for speech improvement, feeding strategies, and post-surgical care.
- Monitor progress and adjust therapy plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Participate in continuing education to stay updated on the latest advancements in cleft palate care.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors /Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid state licensure or certification.
- Specialized experience working with individuals with cleft lip and palate.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to patient-centered care.
