**About MelJol**

MelJol is a non-governmental organization (NGO) registered under the Societies Registration Act. MelJol also has international presence through its sister concerns, namely Aflatoun International & Child Youth & Finance International with a collective presence across 116 countries. MelJol was initiated as a field action project of Family and Child Welfare, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai in December 1991. Since its inception MelJol has focused on fostering healthy attitudes in children, creating awareness of the different needs of children from different backgrounds, and building spirit of confidence and entrepreneurship.

MelJol seeks to contribute in addressing the issues related to India’s URBAN and RURAL poverty by meaningfully involving children, youth, and community It seeks to encourage a new generation of young people and intends to equip them with knowledge and skills to better understand the power of economic growth, social & financial equity and concepts of risk and reward enabling them to break the cycle of poverty.

**Major responsibilities**:

- Project planning and management - Monthly, Quarterly and Annually
- Strategize to maximize the impact of projects.
- Meet timelines of the project
- Plan and execute events, campaigns, exposure visits, etc.
- Organize donor visit
- Tracking budget utilization in tune with the planned activities
- Managing and compiling project and program data
- Providing project feed for social media
- Support for resource mobilization
- Identify the training need from program location and design effective training program.
- Training and capacity building and handholding of project team and stakeholders
- Visit the field to understand the training outcome.
- To plan and develop the training calendar in consultation with line manager
- Writing reports of conducted various trainings and project reports
- Research on new training methodology especially child centred, active learning and participatory methodologies
- Conduct training at various program locations of the organization
- Create/develop training and learning material

**Qualification required**:
M.S.W / B. Ed / Post - Graduate from recognized institute with inclination to work in development sector.

**Experience required**:

- Minimum 2 - 3 year or above in social development sector
- Min. 1 - 2 years’ experience in conducting participatory trainings in NGO sector.

**Salary**:20,000 - 25,000 per month (Depends on qualification, experience, and expertise)

**Required key personal skills & experience**:

- Hands on, willing to roll up sleeves and get things done
- Sensitive towards children, youth, and other stakeholders
- Good oral & written communication in Marathi, English and Hindi is mandatory
- Skill of problem solving and multitasking
- Highly outcome orientation
- Creative, out of box thinking ability and willingness to learn new thing
- Flexible, ability to work and manage team, and ability to cope with challenges.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skill.
- Willing to travel
- Knowledge of various training methods and approach will be an advantage

**Salary**: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
