- Provide comprehensive medical care to newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
- Manage and monitor premature, critically ill, or low-birth-weight infants.
- Diagnose and treat newborns with breathing disorders, infections, and other life-threatening conditions.
- Perform neonatal procedures such as intubation, surfactant administration, and umbilical line insertion.
- Coordinate with obstetricians, pediatricians, nurses, and other specialists for optimal neonatal care.
- Provide parental counseling and education regarding infant health, treatment, and prognosis.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records for all patients.
- Participate in neonatal transport and emergency resuscitation when required.
- Adhere to hospital protocols, ethical standards, and patient safety regulations.
- Contribute to training, mentoring, and continuing education programs for medical and nursing staff.

**Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:
- **Education**: MD / DNB / DM in Neonatology or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- **License**: Valid medical license and registration with the Medical Council.
- **Experience**: Minimum [2-5 years] of experience in a Level III NICU or tertiary care setup preferred.
- **Skills**:

- Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities
- Ability to perform under high-pressure emergency situations
