Roles and ResponsibilityJob Position: SEO - Oracle Database Administration

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Responsible for supporting / administration / management the Oracle databases
in CCIL and ensuring their performance, availability and security
SCOPE
(The way that the position contributes to and impacts on the organization)
Production database support to ensure the highest standards of availability,
resilience, integrity, security and performance required by our business systems.
Administration with PL/SQL work.
Design, development and administration of Oracle databases.
Performance monitoring, reporting, and tuning of Oracle databases.
Management and maintenance of back-ups & recovery procedures.
Installation and maintenance of database server, replication and client
environments.
Reviewing and tuning SQL and PL/SQL code.
Designing database packages and procedures.
Security and access control.
Provision of support and assistance to development team in the design,
Creation and maintenance of SQL queries and routines
Provisioning of (database) development and testing environments.
Writing ad-hoc queries based on schema knowledge for various reporting
requirements.
Required to deal with complex data models and object relational database
mapping, while producing complex reports.
RESPONSIBILITIES
(Major responsibilities and target accomplishments expected of the position including
the typical problems encountered in carrying out the responsibilities.)
Installation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle server software and related
products
Evaluate Oracle features and Oracle related products.
Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures.
Take care of the Database design and implementation.
Implement and maintain database security (create, update and maintain users
and roles, assign privileges).
Perform database tuning and performance monitoring.

Restricted
Manage physical/logical standby database.
Setup and maintain documentation and standards.
Provide a strategic database direction for the organization.
Plan growth and changes (capacity planning)
Work as part of a team and provide support when required.
Perform general technical trouble shooting and give consultation to
development / support teams.
Interface with Oracle Corporation for technical support.
Maintain 100% uptime

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Minimum acceptable qualification
BE / B.Tech / MCA / M.Tech / M.Sc (Computer Science, IT)
Job Experience
Minimum job experience in related field
2 Years of work experience in Oracle10g / 11g /19c
Knowledge
The incumbent must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:

Should have worked on Unix, Linux O/S
Skills
The incumbent must demonstrate the following skills:

Familiarity with various Oracle database specific technologies, tools and utilities.
A good knowledge of the physical database design.
Knowledge of ALL Oracle backup and recovery scenarios.
A good knowledge of Oracle security management.
Ability to analyze, assess and evaluate technologies / tools related to DB.
Ability to understand and troubleshoot the problem quickly.
Good documentation skills.
Training
The incumbent must have undergone these trainings in his/her previous job
OCP / OCA (DBA track) certification in Oracle 10g / 11g /19c
Technology Knowledge/awareness
The incumbent must have this technology awareness/knowledge
Should be expert in backup and recovery scenarios (Import/Export datapump
and RMAN)

Should have knowledge and hands on experience on flashback.
Should have configured and worked on 11g/19c grid and ASM
Should have configured/worked on various ODG options
