**Role Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Regulatory Compliance**:

- Assist in ensuring compliance with local, regional, and international laws and regulations across all jurisdictions.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations affecting the company and provide timely updates and recommendations.
- Emphasize compliance with local real estate laws in regions such as Europe, Middle East, and America, particularly as they relate to short-term housing.
- Stay abreast of these laws and aim to become a thought leader in the industry for global regulatory compliance.

2. **Contract Management**:

- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including vendor agreements, service contracts, and partnership agreements.
- Maintain and manage the company’s contract database and ensure timely renewals and compliance.

3. **Risk Management**:

- Identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Assist in managing litigation, disputes, and other legal proceedings.

4. **Corporate Governance**:

- Support management in advising the board of directors and senior management on corporate governance practices.
- Ensure compliance with governance standards in different jurisdictions.

5. **Intellectual Property**:

- Assist in protecting the company’s intellectual property rights, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents.

6. **Employment Law**:

- Provide legal support on employment-related issues, including drafting employment contracts, advising on workplace policies, and ensuring compliance with labor laws.

7. **Data Privacy and Security**:

- Assist in ensuring compliance with data protection regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and other local data privacy laws.

8. **Mergers and Acquisitions**:

- Support legal aspects of mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other strategic transactions.

9. **External Counsel Management**:

- Coordinate with external law firms and legal consultants to handle specialized legal matters as needed.

**10.** **Policy Development and Implementation**:

- Assist in developing and implementing company policies, including ethics and compliance programs.

**Qualifications**:

- Education: LLB or equivalent degree from a recognized university. Additional qualifications such as LLM or specialisation in international law will be an advantage.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant legal experience, preferably with a multinational corporation or a reputable law firm.

**Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of corporate, commercial, and employment law.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in English; additional languages will be an asset.
