Position: Senior Manager – Office of General Counsel
Location: Gurgaon or Hyderabad (strong preference for candidates based in these cities)
Experience: 8 to 12 years
Salary: INR 20+ LPA
Education: LLB (mandatory); JD/LLM (preferred)
About the Role
We, as the Office of General Counsel (OGC), provide strategic legal advice to internal stakeholders, ensuring regulatory compliance and minimizing legal risk. We are seeking a seasoned legal professional to join our team as a Senior Manager with strong expertise in employment law, regulatory compliance, and in-house legal advisory.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise internal teams on Indian employment and labor laws, compliance requirements, and legal risks.
- Manage legal matters related to human capital and service delivery regulations.
- Support dispute resolution, litigation, and arbitration proceedings.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments impacting our operations.
- Collaborate with global legal teams and manage external counsel as needed.
- Draft and review contracts, policies, and compliance documents.
- Drive process improvement and implement legal risk mitigation frameworks.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- LLB is a must; JD or LLM is a plus.
- 8 to 12 years of post-qualification legal experience:
- Preferably from top-tier law firms and/or
- As in-house counsel in a multinational (Indian or global).
- Strong working knowledge of Indian labor and employment laws.
- Experience handling compliance, dispute resolution, and regulatory affairs.
- Ability to provide practical legal advice in a business-focused manner.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- High level of independence, judgment, and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with legal tech tools and digital workflows.
