**Job description**

1. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:

- Accounts payable/receivable
- Payments - Vendors, Utilities, Statutory, Payroll etc
- Revenue Accounting

Cash receipts (Cash reconciliation and MIS)

Cash forecasting

Petty Cash Management

Bank Reconciliations

General ledger

Payroll Analysis

Treasury, budgeting

Revenue and expenditure variance analysis

Fixed Asset activity (Register included)

Fixed assets reconciliations

Month and end-year process

Check runs

Debt activity

Statutory Payment - GST, TDS, PF, ESI and others as applicable

2. Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles

3. Monitor and analyse accounting data and produce financial reports or statements in a

timely manner (Daily Sales MIS / Weekly MIS/ Monthly PnL and BS)

4. Coordinate with external auditors for interim and annual audits

5. Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions

6. Track and manage statutory compliance, contracts and licensing requirements

7. Manage and analyse budgets and create financial predictions

8. Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions

9. Develop periodic management reports for higher management

10. Maintain a working knowledge of financial laws, norms, and guidelines, as well as

organizational policies.

**SKILLS REQUIRED**:
1. Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases (Tally)

2. Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws

and regulations

3. High attention to detail and accuracy

4. Ability to direct and supervise (leadership skills)

5. Flexibility and ability to work effectively with tight timelines

6. Ability to alter priorities in a dynamic environment.

WORK EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

1. Proven working experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance

Manager (Min 7+ years)

2. Master’s degree / bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
