ROLE: Backup Administrator L2

Preferred Knowledge: Skilled at managing tasks related to Data Domain, understands Cyber Recovery/AIR-GAP solutions, and has experience with Veritas NetBackup and Tape Library technologies.

Location: Mumbai Experience Range:
Total Experience 8-10years (Relevant domain-2-3 years).

Primary Skills & Responsibilities:
1. Administration and Management: o Manage and administer Dell Data Domain systems, handling configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting tasks. o Ensure the security and integrity of data stored on Dell Data Domain systems through regular backups, maintaining smooth operation and optimal performance. o Offer support and expertise in managing Dell Cybersense solutions. o Provide guidance and support to junior backup administrators.

2. Monitoring and Troubleshooting: o Monitor the performance and capacity of Data Domain systems, promptly identifying any issues and coordinating with the respective OEM to ensure optimal operation. o Monitor Cybersense systems for triggered alerts related to performance, irregularities, security, and compliance with established standards, promptly addressing any issues as needed. o Work collaboratively with internal teams, vendors, and external partners as needed to troubleshoot complex issues and offer advanced support for incident resolution.

3. Configuration and Optimization: o Configure Data Domain systems and backup policies in line with established standards and best practices. o Assist in implementing new features, upgrades, and enhancements to DataDomain & Cybersense systems. o Enhance backup schedules, retention policies, and storage allocation to maximize efficiency.

4. Maintenance and Performance Enhancement: o Conduct preventive maintenance activities such as software updates, patch installations, and enhance the performance of backup and Data Domain systems.

5. Incident Management and Analysis: o Participate in Data Domain system-related practises, including planning, testing, and implementing/Configuring with the help of respective OEM. o Manage incidents related to DataDomain, Cybersense, and Backup systems from identification through resolution, with assistance from both internal teams and OEMs. o Study recurring issues to identify causes and implement preventive measures suggested by the respective OEM’s.

6. Reporting: o Generate detailed and customized reports on DataDomain utilization, Cybersense and backup status, success rates, and DataDomain usage using appropriate reporting tools.

7. Disaster Recovery Planning and Testing: o Participate in disaster recovery planning efforts and regularly test backup systems to ensure readiness for emergencies.

8. Capacity Planning and Forecasting: o Monitor backup storage capacity usage and forecast future requirements. o Collaborate with respective teams to ensure adequate storage availability for backups.

9. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: o Develop and maintain documentation, including procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides for Data Domain, Cybersense & backup systems. o Maintain detailed records of Configuration procedures and troubleshooting steps. o Share knowledge with team members to enhance collective skills and expertise.

10. Compliance and Security: o Ensure procedures comply with regulations and industry standards. o Implement security measures to safeguard backup data against unauthorized access or sharing.

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
