The cloud security consultant within the Cyber Security Practice deals with designing, optimizing, and implementing security solutions related to cloud transformation projects for existing customers and prospects. Cloud security consultant will collaborate with various teams to integrate cloud security into overall cloud transformation solutions, right from the early planning phase and right through successful deployment.

The cloud security consultant responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

- Design, define and deliver cloud security transformation projects from the early planning phase through the successful deployment.
- Assess the current state of customers cloud infrastructure, develop strategies and roadmap for improvement and advise in further securing cloud environments
- Work closely with Clients, Project managers and senior architects to develop customized strategies and security solutions to secure their cloud environment.
- Determine security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements as per industry information security standards and best practices.
- Design security for Private /Public/Hybrid Clouds deployment models
- Create and review cloud security architecture and implementation of security principles across the client’s organization to meet business objectives.
- Experience in designing, configuring, and deploying cloud security services such as those form Azure Log analytics, Azure security center.
- Exposure and design SSL/IPsec, IPS, DDoS, SIEM, WAF, Storage security and Cloud workload Environment
- Creating security policies and standards for Cloud Security, Container Security, Configuration Management, and Infrastructure.
- Exposure on tools/services from cloud vendors e.g., AWS: GuardDuty, Security Hub, CloudTrail, CloudWatch Azure: VNET, Load balancer, resource group GCP: Armour, Security scanner, VPC, Cloud DNS, Load balancer
- Exposure on CASB (Cloud Access Security broker) solutions and Security controls for workloads on Azure/AWS/GCP
- Exposure to Next-Generation Firewalls (e.g., Palo alto) and Advanced Malware Protection.
- Exposure on vulnerability assessment platforms - E.g. - Qualys Guard, Nessus and Accunetix platform
- Exposure and worked on security standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, ISO 27002, NIST CSF, CSA-CCM,
- Exposure on python, terraform, JSON, lambda functions

**Years of Experience**:
10+ years or more with:

- At least two years of previous consulting experience.
- Be motivated to learn and seek guidance.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Open to working in shifts or client business hours.
- Experience in setting up PoCs, labs is an added advantage

**Travel Requirements**:

- Willing to travel on short
- or long-term assignments.

**Mandatory exposure**
- Have directly worked with clients
- Build or defend solution proposals

**Certifications**

Security (one or more): CISSP (preferred), CISA, CISM, CEH

Cloud (one or more): CCSK, CCSP, AWS/Azure/GCP security/Architect

Architecture (good to have): SABSA, TOGAF
