Cloud Security Architect

This role has been designated as ‘Office’, which means you will primarily work from an HPE office.

Job Family Definition:_**

Designs and builds secure system infrastructures and architectures by establishing business requirements, translating them into secure technical solutions, and testing and ensuring the performance and capacity of security solutions.

**_ Management Level Definition:_**

**_ Responsibilities: _**
- Modifies and delivers company and legacy cybersecurity system architecture and infrastructures based on client security needs, industry requirements, and an understanding of security technology, architecture, infrastructure and engineering
- Develops and enhances the cybersecurity of a client's or company's technology solution architecture and infrastructure
- Operates as a key delivery team member on cybersecurity teams and advises on methods to improve the security solution
- Applies extensive knowledge of the client's business and industry to gather and develop cybersecurity requirements specifications
- Uses the output of system architects to design and build a secure infrastructure
- Tests cybersecurity solutions to ensure performance and quality

**_ Education and Experience Required: _**
- Bachelors degree required, preferably in computer science, engineering or related area of study
- Typically 4+ years of relevant experience

**_ Knowledge and Skills: _**
- Advanced Cyber and IT security knowledge
- Advanced understanding of Cyber and IT security risks, threats and prevention measures
- Advanced secure system architecture and infrastructure design and development skills
- Minimum 3-5 years hands-on keyboard AWS experience, with deeper capabilities and interests in specific services.
- Must have hands-on AWS experience with at least 4-8 implementations on AWS Cloud (preferred in an Enterprise scale environment)
- Minimum required AWS certification must include AWS Certified Solution Architect (Associate or Professional)
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline followed by 4 progressively responsible years of experience in infrastructure architect, systems development, or IT.
- Scripting capability and the ability to develop AWS EAC (environments as code)
Familiar with Automation/IAC (infrastructure As Code) Solutions
- CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Jenkins, etc.
- Experience with core AWS platform architecture, including areas such as:

- Network (VPC) - Subnet, segmentation strategies
- IAM
- Infrastructure-as-a-code (terraform, cloudfomation)
- Storage (S3 and EBS)
- Compute (EC2, ECS)
- Serverless (Lambda, EKS, Fargate)
- Logging and Monitoring (Cloudtrail, Cloudwatch)
- Organisation - Account design
- Backup and Disaster Recovery approach and design
- AWS Cost Management and Optimization
