Introduction:
What will you be doing?
- Develop and build re-usable tests in JIRA
- Work with the Business Analysts to understand the end to end requirement and design an appropriate testing solution
- Contribute on a daily basis to a collaborative environment, provide support where appropriate to other members of the team
- Actively seek out areas for improvement and deliver these through agreed roadmaps
- Liaise with Business and other Technology teams across Barclays to enable all aspects of end to end testing to be defined and executed.
- Develop and maintain test approach documentation.
- Analysis of change requirements that support technical testing activity.
- Define and formulate/document automated test scenarios that support the end to end testing of technical/ functional changes made to the system
- Generate test scripts/ scenarios based on scenario definitions.
- Undertake execution and analysis of test results to assess if the changes made are in line with expectations.
- Identify and document test defects/issues and engage development and business analysis team to implement appropriate code fixes to address, tracking through to resolution.
- Ensure that all project testing status reporting is accurate, informative and timely
- Employ sound time management and self-management techniques to prioritise and regulate work load efficiently, taking ownership of issues and driving through to resolution as appropriate.
- Communication (including reporting) with stakeholders (including key messages and content of communications relating to change specification requirements etc.
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationships within the team and with external stakeholders to ensure achievement of business goals.
- The ability to maintain rigorous compliance with project deliverables and industry standards is a prized asset.
- Testing can vary from ensuring individual components meeting project requirements to ensuring overall compliance with project and industry definitions and UAT.
