This role is within the BX CCO Technology & CSO function.
- Work collaboratively across CCO functions to provide Controls advisory and oversight services to develop practical, innovative and automated data visualization, data analytics solutions for improved business decision making.
- You will bring expert-level data visualization and analytics experience into the risk and control environment, empowering colleagues to proactively manage risk.

**What will you be doing?**
- Lead the development of self-service tools and dashboards to enable proactive business decision making around Key Controls Metrics such as Controls Issues, Risk Events, Key Risk Indicators and Controls Maturity Assessment
- Transform Advisory and Oversight activities (i.e. Control Issues, Risk Events and Risk mitigation) into opportunities for simplification of Controls and Key Risk Indicators, ensuring compliance with Barclays Control Framework
- Support management of Risk & Control relating to Barclays’ Policies, Standards and Key Controls across Security and Technology
- Understand, evaluate and translate requirements into scalable and configurable Control data insights use-cases
- Assist with data sourcing, cleaning and preparation for identified automation, simplification & data analytics opportunities
- Present predictive data analytics techniques/technologies, capabilities and use-cases in different forums
- Drive the automation, simplification & data insights agenda independently across multiple fora
- Mentor and train team members in basic and advanced data visualization and analytical techniques

**What we’re looking for**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience in relevant industry with strong background in data, data analytics technologies/techniques and data visualization
- Strong practical experience working with Python for Data Analytics
- Strong experience and knowledge of relational databases (SQL, Oracle), data analysis, data storytelling and data visualization (Tableau/ Qlikview/ PowerBI)
- Extensive experience in data extraction, munging, validation for Data Analytics use-cases and creating proposals, providing recommendations on back of the analysis
- Aptitude to pick up skills on new tools as required
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing abilities
- Exhibit strong value system - Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence and Stewardship towards achieving greater results
- Demonstrate sound behavioural skills - Collaboration, Stakeholder relationship management, eager to manage multiple concurrent time-critical projects and flexibility to adapt to change

**Skills that will help you in the role**:

- Experience in 1st, 2nd or 3rd line controls functions (i.e. Controls Testing Team, Operational Risk and Control, Audit, Assurance)
- Good understanding of Barclays Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF), Controls Framework, Technology and Security standards, Control objectives and Key Controls Metrics
- Experience/Knowledge of Data Science and Machine learning techniques
