Drillers Assistant

**Job Overview**:
The assistant driller supports the driller in the operation of the drilling rig, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with company policies and regulations. They help manage the drilling crew, maintain equipment, and monitor drilling operations. The assistant driller is responsible for ensuring that all drilling activities are carried out smoothly and safely.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Drilling Operations**:

- Assist the driller in daily operations, including the preparation and execution of drilling plans.
- Ensure the rig’s equipment is in optimal working condition and ready for use.
- Monitor and adjust drilling parameters, such as weight on bit, rotary speed, and mud flow, to optimize drilling efficiency.
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on drilling equipment as needed.
- **Crew Supervision**:

- Supervise and direct the rig crew in their daily tasks, ensuring they follow safe working practices and adhere to operational procedures.
- Coordinate and delegate tasks among the crew to ensure smooth operations.
- **Safety & Compliance**:

- Ensure all safety protocols, regulations, and company policies are followed during all drilling activities.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and briefings with the crew to promote a safe working environment.
- Monitor environmental and regulatory compliance, reporting any issues to the Driller or rig manager.
- **Drilling Reports**:

- Maintain accurate daily reports on drilling operations, equipment, and crew activities.
- Record data related to drilling performance, wellbore conditions, and any abnormalities during operations.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the Driller.
- **Logistics & Equipment Management**:

- Assist in the coordination of materials and equipment needed for the drilling process.
- Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of drilling instruments.
- **Emergency Response**:

- Respond to emergency situations, including blowouts, fires, or accidents, by executing emergency procedures.
- Ensure the safety of all crew members and the integrity of the well site.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in drilling operations is preferred.
- Relevant experience in a drilling environment (e.g., onshore/offshore rigs).
- Basic knowledge of drilling processes, equipment, and terminology.
- Familiarity with drilling safety protocols and hazard prevention.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to direct and motivate the drilling crew.
- Ability to work in challenging and potentially hazardous environments.
- Physical fitness to endure long hours and physically demanding tasks.

Pay: From ₹50,000.00 per month
