Floorman

A floorman, also known as a floorhand or roughneck, is a worker on an oil rig who performs manual labor tasks to support drilling operations, including setting up and maintaining equipment, handling materials, and ensuring a safe and clean work environment. Key Responsibilities of a Floorman:

- **Equipment Handling & Maintenance**:

- Setting up, maintaining, and disassembling drilling equipment.
- Operating and maintaining drilling equipment, such as rig tongs, elevators, and slips.
- Assisting with the maintenance and repair of work equipment, tools, and rig structures.
- Ensuring the drilling operations area is clean and safe.
- **Material Handling**:

- Moving, manipulating, and handling pipes, drill strings, and other materials.
- Loading and unloading cargo.
- Assembling and organizing tools, pipes, and other materials.
- **Safety & Procedures**:

- Following safety procedures and regulations in the oil and gas industry.
- Maintaining a safe working environment.
- Participating in safety checks and inspections.
- **Assisting the Driller**:

- Assisting the driller in making pipe connections.
- Following instructions from the driller or other crew leaders.
- Managing the casing, drill string, and drill pipe.
- **Other Duties**:

- Cleaning up the rig floor and surrounding areas.
- Transporting equipment on trucks and operating other vehicles.
- Supervising the mixing of drilling fluids.
- Maintaining and tracking inventory.

Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
