**Job Title**: Data Architect

**Location**: Remote
**Duration**: 6 Months
**Working Hours**: Must overlap U.S. hours till at least 1:00 AM IST

**About the Role**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Translate business requirements into conceptual and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with source system experts to finalize ETL and analytics design.
- Guide data modelers and developers in ETL design and development.
- Develop comprehensive activity plans aligned with project timelines.
- Lead end-to-end implementation of Data Warehouse and Data Lake projects (including Azure-based solutions).
- Optimize performance of SQL-based procedures, functions, triggers, and data transformation workflows.
- Contribute to capacity planning, environment management, and deployment strategies in Azure.
- Communicate complex concepts effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Perform demand analysis, cost/benefit evaluations, and provide accurate estimations.

**Technical Expertise Required**
- **8+ years** of experience in Database Warehouse / Lakehouse programming.
- **End-to-End Experience**: At least 2 Data Warehouse/Data Lake projects and 1 Azure Data Warehouse/Lakehouse project.
- Proficiency in **Microsoft Azure** components: Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL Database, Azure Key Vault, MS Fabric, Azure DevOps (ADO), and Virtual Networks (VNets).
- Strong understanding of **Medallion Architecture** and **Gold Layer data modeling**.
- Expertise in **Data Warehouse design principles** (star schema, snowflake schema, data partitioning).
- Advanced SQL skills: Packages, Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, Data Transformation.
- Knowledge of **SQL Loader, Data Pump, Import/Export utilities**.
- **Performance tuning** experience.
- Familiarity with BI & visualization tools such as **Power BI** and **Tableau**.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- **Certifications**: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Data Engineer Associate.
- Strong knowledge of capacity planning, environment setup, and deployment within Azure.
- Hands-on experience with cloud cloning/copying for Dev/Test/Production environments.

**Interpersonal Skills**
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to clearly explain technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
