Founded in 2015 by FinTech and ESG veterans, OpenInvest’s platform unlocks a personalized and engaging end-to-end client experience, including dynamic custom indexing, impact reporting, proxy voting, and more. OpenInvest was acquired by JPMC in June of 2021. JPMC services are used in half of all American households: join us to help design and offer sustainable finance solutions on the greatest scale, nationwide and across the world.
**Responsibilities**:
- Conduct research and development of new and existing technologies to scale OpenInvest's AI initiatives
- Lead and contribute to projects within the OpenInvest Investment Research Development team, collaborating closely with other team members
- Collaborate cross-functionally with OpenInvest's engineering, product, and research teams to identify areas where data science can be applied effectively
- Participate in code reviews, architecture reviews, integral data engineering and project planning
- Manage release, rollout, and deployment of R&D products
**Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills**:
- 4 - 8 years of experience in one or more of the following disciplines: Statistics, Quantitative Finance, Data Science/Machine Learning, and Software Engineering
- Proficient in Python and comfortable using relevant frameworks and libraries
- Strong experience in SQL for querying databases
- Possess an analytical, statistical, and broadly quantitative mindset
- Demonstrate initiative and autonomy, with a proven ability to contribute effectively in group conversations
- Confident in sharing constructive feedback to colleagues across the hierarchy
**Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills**:
- Experience with optimization techniques, learning algorithms, classification and regression techniques, natural language processing
- Experience with deploying machine learning models at scale
