**Key Responsibilities**:

- **News Reporting**:

- Gather, investigate, and research newsworthy events.
- Conduct interviews with key individuals and experts to provide insights on news stories.
- Attend press conferences, events, and briefings to provide live updates or reports.
- Write and script news stories for on-air presentation or digital publication.
- **News Anchoring**:

- Present and deliver news stories during scheduled newscasts.
- Engage with viewers during live broadcasts by delivering news with professionalism and credibility.
- Read breaking news, weather updates, and significant headlines from teleprompters or scripts.
- Moderate discussions and interviews during news segments.
- **Collaboration and Coordination**:

- Work closely with the news team to ensure cohesive, factual reporting.
- Collaborate with producers, camera operators, and directors to ensure seamless live coverage.
- Coordinate with the social media team to provide timely updates on breaking news.
- **Content Creation and Research**:

- Conduct thorough research for background information on major stories.
- Develop and maintain sources within the community to stay informed on local events and breaking news.
- Contribute ideas for story development, special segments, and investigative reports.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience as a news reporter, anchor, or journalist (experience in live reporting preferred).
- Strong on-air presence and excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
- Strong interviewing and storytelling skills.
- Knowledge of current affairs, politics, and local events.
- Familiarity with broadcast equipment and newsroom software.
- Flexibility with working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience with live field reporting.
- Proficiency in social media management and engagement strategies.
- Fluency in multiple languages is an advantage.
