Production Supervisor

Ensure the plant is neat and all tools and machines are arranged as per standard

Responsible for ensuring the production team are utilizing the materials for production as per the requirement.

Ensure that foreman, workers, helpers are following the standard procedures on the production floor

Supervisors need to ensure the production team under their section are working on time.

Brief the day’s work plan to workers. [process flow of the job, machineries involved, materials involved, standard time for the particular job, which worker need to complete that job (helpers/trainee) also ensure employees not getting ideal time]

Check the quality of the work with the work progress. If found any deviation from plan take corrective action for completing the work as per the plan. If found any complaint mention the same in stage wise checklist and rectify the complaint.

Before starting the welding process, ensure that the vehicles ECU/Battery connections are covered properly.

The entry list of every vehicle needs to be filed properly and forwarded to the accounts department.

After receiving the Certificate of Completion & Production Check List from the PDI Section Supervisor, check with the Accounts Department whether there is any remaining payment due from the customer and instruct the customer to clear the payment.

After entering the details of the vehicles in the accounts, entering the bill, preparing all the certificates and drawings required for the registration of the vehicles, handing over the customer and getting the signature, after obtaining the signature of the accountants with the permission of the management, the gate pass should be given and the vehicle should be delivered.

Responsible to take a print out of the customer’s name, chassis number, engine number, mention received in and paste a copy of the same on the cabin.

Responsible for filing the customer’s production check list, job certificate, welding checklist, ARAI certificate, invoice documents.

Responsible for talking in detail with the customer on any extra work that needed to be done as well finalizing the rate for the extra work as per the check list provided. The signature of the customer must also be taken.

Ensure that the key for all vehicles on the floor is in the store, if not bring it to the attention of the Production Manager.

Responsible for receiving the vehicle that enters into the company for the projects.

Responsible for jack once received from the stores/inventory department has to be produced before production manager to sort clear understanding of further development work related to client’s vehicle.

Responsible to forward production checklist to production manager and follow-ups on updates

Responsible to communicate the current work status of the vehicle to the respective customer

Ensure that the vehicles that need labeling works & electrical works must be completed before the delivery date.

Responsible for properly stock-taking M.S materials 1st day of every month and forwarding the document to the accounts department.

Responsible to check the objects, keys inside the vehicle cabin and mention in the entry list.

Responsible to check & ensure if there is any damage in the newer chassis. Also ensure that photos of every repair vehicles are taken when receive and uploaded in the WhatsApp Production Group.

Responsible to cross check the work mentioned in the entry checklist with the work mentioned in quotation & allocate workers accordingly & file the documents properly.

Responsible to file properly the new chassis entry checklist & follow up documents of that vehicle in the same folder.

Responsible to ensure the availability of raw material needed for their vehicle body building works, in case of unavailability it must be communicated to the PM at least 3 days before the initiation of the work

Responsible to attend the calls of customers immediately & talk with the customers professionally and in a formal manner, incase if the call couldn’t be attended, ensure to call back the customer ASAP.

Responsible to verify the welding and grinding works in the vehicle is done properly

Responsible to crosscheck the work is completed as per the quotation before going for painting works must be checked by the supervisor and verified by the PM.

Ensure that wet sacks/fire blankets are laid down before welding works

Responsible to ensure the production team are working as per the target implemented

Responsible for minimum production target achievement. Make sure that the target is being achieved within the timeline

Responsible for ensuring wastage from production is reduced and maximum wastage percentage achieved can be.

Accountable for monitoring the day-to-day operations in the production floor
