**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Regulatory Compliance**:

- Ensure the organization’s adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines, including 12A, 80G, CSR, FCRA, and FEMA.
- Provide expert advice on regulatory changes and their implications for the organization.
- Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments to identify potential issues.
- Develop and implement robust compliance policies and procedures.
- **Registration and Licensing**:

- Guide the organization through the registration and licensing processes, including 12A, 80G, FCRA, and state-specific registrations.
- Prepare and submit necessary documentation to regulatory authorities.
- Monitor and update registrations and licenses to ensure ongoing compliance.
- **Project Proposal Development**:

- Assist in the development of high-quality project proposals, ensuring alignment with donor guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance on budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance with donor regulations.
- Review and edit project proposals to enhance their quality and impact.
- **Fundraising and Grants Management**:

- Advise on fundraising strategies and compliance with donor regulations.
- Monitor grant expenditures and ensure compliance with donor terms and conditions.
- **Legal Counsel**:

- Provide legal advice on a range of issues, including contract law, labor law, and intellectual property rights.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, such as contracts, agreements, and leases.
- Represent the organization in legal proceedings, if necessary.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Law degree from a recognized law school.
- Minimum of [number] years of experience in legal and compliance roles, preferably in the non-profit sector.
- In-depth knowledge of Indian tax laws, particularly 12A and 80G.
- Strong understanding of FCRA regulations and experience in handling foreign funding.
- Experience in project proposal development and grant management.
- Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to the mission and values of the organization.
