Position: Quality Assurance Executive (QA Executive)

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Quality Control & Assurance**:

- Perform routine inspections and sampling of raw materials (pickle and spices, packaging materials) and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Monitor the entire production process to ensure products meet food safety and quality requirements.
- Conduct microbiological and chemical analysis on pickle and spice products (testing for pesticide residue, moisture content, etc.).
- Ensure that the products are compliant with international food safety regulations (e.g., FSSAI, FDA, ISO, HACCP, etc.).
- **Product Testing**:

- Lead sensory evaluation of pickle and spice products (color, taste, aroma) to ensure the final product meets customer specifications.
- Carry out testing for foreign particles, contaminants, or adulteration in raw materials and finished products.
- Maintain documentation of all testing, with the ability to interpret results and generate reports.
- **Process Monitoring**:

- Oversee production processes to identify any quality-related issues and troubleshoot potential problems.
- Work with production teams to enforce best practices in handling, grinding, packaging, and storage of spices.
- Ensure proper adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within the plant.
- **Quality Audits & Inspections**:

- Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Assist in preparing for external audits (FSSAI, ISO, HACCP, etc.) and ensure all documentation is in place for successful certification.
- Support the documentation and resolution of non-conformance issues.
- **Supplier & Vendor Quality Management**:

- Work closely with the procurement team to ensure the quality of incoming raw materials from suppliers.
- Perform supplier audits, track supplier performance, and resolve any quality-related issues with suppliers.
- **Documentation & Reporting**:

- Maintain and update all quality records, test reports, and audit documentation.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on quality performance, product quality trends, and any corrective actions taken.
- Prepare reports related to quality improvements, customer complaints, and product recalls, if applicable.
- **Training & Awareness**:

- Conduct training for staff on quality assurance procedures, hygiene standards, and food safety practices.
- Promote a culture of quality throughout the organization and ensure that all employees understand the importance of product quality.
- **Customer Complaints & Feedback**:
**Required Skills & Qualifications**:

- **Educational Qualification**:

- Bachelor’s degree in food science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or a related field.
- **Experience**:

- 7-8 years of experience in Quality Assurance, preferably in the spice,pickle or food processing industry.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Proficient in quality control and food safety standards (FSSAI, ISO, HACCP, etc.).
- Knowledge of microbiological testing and analytical laboratory equipment.
- Familiarity with sensory evaluation techniques (taste, color, aroma, texture).
- **Soft Skills**:

- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate across departments.
- **Additional Skills**:

- Familiarity with SAP and ERP systems and documentation tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience with pickle and spice processing techniques, pickle and spice - specific quality standards.
- Certification in food safety, HACCP, or similar quality management certifications.

**Work Conditions**:

- The role may require working in manufacturing environments, so comfort with working in production facilities and exposure to pickle and spices and related raw materials is essential.
- May involve some evening or weekend shifts depending on the production schedule.
